My Weekend...

I woke up on Friday morning at 4am needing to pee (a normal thing) to discover that I had developed a rash around my left eye. Knowing that I probably couldn't make a same-day appointment at the hospital, I went ahead and drove to the ER to get checked out. They got me in quickly since I was the only one there, and I saw a doctor who seemed to be in more of a hurry to get me out of there than to actually help me. He told me I had dermatitis (not sure of spelling), told me to take Benadryl if it itched, and to wash my eyelashes. He then sent me home.

I got some Benadryl anti-itch cream and went about my business. I then woke up this morning (Saturday) to find that my left eye was half swollen shut and the rash had spread to ,y nose and cheek, as well as behind both ears. Grrreat! Being concerned, I went to the ER again, with Logan. After waiting over an hour to be checked in, I was met by a very rude technician in Triage. He very unkindly told me that this is a symptom of dermatitis and that there isn't anything they can do for me... Nice guy.

Luckily for me, the doctor working in the ER today was much nicer than her staff. She took the time to talk to me and take me seriously. She actually explained things and did all she could to help me. She told me to try some hydrocortizone cream and also to try a different shampoo. I personally don't think the shampoo is the problem or solution, but at least she cared! Anyway.....below are some pictures of my "beautiful" skin condition. I feel like a freak.
